Registered Nurse - Neurological Surgery Clinic (Temporary)

UW Medical Center-Montlake - Neurological Surgery Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Temporary Registered Nurse!

WORK SCHEDULE

• Full time / 40 hours per week
• Day shifts
• The RN can work 5x8s Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm or 4x10s Monday-Thursday (with every Friday off) from 7:00am-5:30pm. Additional details will be provided in the interview.

This is a temporary, fixed duration position. We expect this position to run through the end of May 2026.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of Neurosurgeons, Endocrinologists, Advanced Practice Providers, and administrative staff
• Coordinate and implement care for patients with routine and complex surgical conditions
• Provide pre-operative patient education
• Conduct post-operative discharge calls
• Perform phone triage and respond to MyChart messages
• Obtain medical records and test results for providers
• Manage prior authorizations and outgoing referrals
• Perform blood draws

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of recent ambulatory or perioperative nursing work experience
• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
• Active BLS
