2019 Proposed WSCPN Bylaws Amendments to be voted on at the 2019 Fall Educational Conference and Expo during the business meeting. Please review.

Name change approved at the October 2018 business meeting from “MiniCongress” to “WSCPN Fall Conference and Expo”.

This will create alignment and continuity within Article II. Items A through D all start with “To”.
ARTICLE II Purposes The purposes of the Council are: E. Establish communication among AORN Chapters, members-at-large and other perioperative nurses (e.g., discussion via meeting, exchange of chapter newsletters or other correspondence, networking among perioperative nurses throughout the state). F. Communication with AORN representatives regarding perioperative nursing issues (i.e., state legislation, education and membership issues). ARTICLE II Purposes The purposes of the Council are: E. All perioperative registered nurses working and/or living in the state of Washington 2. Any registered professional nurse who supports the mission of the Council. B. Student: An individual pursing education leading to eligibility to sit for the registered nurse licensing examination. 1. May not hold elective office. 2. May not vote. C. Associate Member: An individual who is not a registered nurse, who provides or provided direct or indirect perioperative services, and who supports the mission of the Council. 1. May not hold elective office. 2. May not vote. SECTION 4: Representation A. Council members are eligible to vote, hold office and serve on elected or appointed committees. B. Student members may serve on committees. C. Associate members may serve on committees.
